Type state abbreviation (66 for Minnesota)

  3. VFR not-recommended - if so
  4. Synopsis of weather
  5. Summary of current conditions (if departure within 2 hours)
  6. Enroute forecast
  7. Destination forecast
  8. Winds aloft
  9. Notams & TFRs
10. ATC delays

  1. Press 3 or say TIBS
  2. 1-877-4-TIBS
  3. You specify area
     a. You hear recorded weather synopsis
     b. METARs of local airports

Frequencies
  1. Local freq is best
  2. RCO (Remote Communications Outlet) 122.2
  3. When an "R" is after the VOR freq, FSS can only receive on that freq (122.1R). So pilots transmit on that frequency and listen on the VOR freq.
  4. Address them as "Radio"
  5. Tell them where you are and the freq you are listening on
